Mini-School for Changemakers

Das Hunger Projekt e.V.

•
Stage + area in front

The “Mini-School for Changemakers” is a short, interactive and open event, designed as a 20-minute “crash course” to introduce non-profit practice and international development cooperation. The Mini-School event is featured as part of the Awareness Week by the NGO The Hunger Project Germany (Das Hunger Projekt e.V.) at the DHBW Campus. In the “Mini-School for Changemakers”, students and other interested participants can learn and engage together to explore common perceptions, myths and skeptical questions surrounding the work and impact of NGOs in development cooperation / sustainable development. Participants become “students” of the Mini-School and move through five short lessons. Live polls, quiz questions and interactive decision-making activities encourage active participation and make different perspectives within the audience visible. Short inputs and practical examples from NGO work then provide context and facts. The “Mini-School for Changemakers” will invite participants to ask and reflect on: what do we actually know about development cooperation, and where do our perceptions come from? Key topics such as effectiveness, sustainability, transparency and the importance of credible communication are introduced in an engaging and relatable way. The Mini-School is followed by an open Q&A and discussion (approx. 20–25 min.) and concludes with informal networking (approx. 15 min.).
